Having recently emerged from a top to toe makeover, the camp offers luxuriously equipped en-suite tents – forty in total including family set-ups – with canvas walls, split-level spaces to unwind, wooden floors, shower and built-in daybed. A number of superior tents feature tribal Masai-inspired décor, enhanced by oversized beds and stained cypress wood furniture.
The three family tents comprise of two interconnected tents with an en-suite bathroom and private veranda - ideal for two adults and two children. A rim flow swimming pool and interactive kitchen are situated in the main lodge. Wake to heart-stopping views over the Sabaringo River, Mara plains or forest, refreshed and ready for exhilarating game drives, night drives and nature walks. The wealth of bird species ranges from storks and cuckoos to hornbills, falcons, nightjars and sunbirds.
January to March is hot and dry with the long rains usually falling from April to early June. Between June and October it is warm and dry during the day but cold at night. The migration usually arrives in the Mara from July with river crossings from Tanzania generally taking place between July and September. The herds rest in Kenya before crossing back to Tanzania in October/November. Kenya’s coast enjoys a tropical climate – April to June can be humid, tempered by monsoon winds. Nairobi is pleasant year round due to its altitude.
